Toine van den Heuvel is a designer pur sang, mainly focused on designs for the working environment. For him, the essence of a good design has to be its applicability in the environment. His designs are characterized by adaptability over time; the consistent choice for simple lines has proven to be timeless. For his design of the fully recyclable and modular sofa 'Reflex' from Artifort, he received international recognition from MD International Designscout 2011.
